February was a transition month, starting with snow and ice on the ground and ending with near record highs. Precipitation was only about half of an average February.
2025 featured a wide range of weather events – from flooding rains to drought, a long hot summer and significant snow, and even a generational week of severe weather in early April.
Another very wet month resulted in the April/May period being the wettest on record in Memphis. Clouds from abundant rain brought cooler than average temperatures.
April 2025 will long be remembered for a historic severe outbreak at the start of the month, resulting in a very wet month with above average temperatures.
